Fifty persons representing the Palestine government, the municipality of Haifa and merchants, were guests of M. Rabinowitz, Finnish consul in Tel Aviv, at a reception on the Finnish warship, Suomen-Joutsen. The ship carries a floating exhibition of products of that country.
The exhibition consists mainly of timber and wood manufactures, wood pulp, cardboard, cellulose, paper, foodstuffs, chemical products, machinery, arms and ammunition and leather products. Those who were present termed the exhibition an overwhelming display of Finnish industry.
A feature of the exhibition is a number of newspapers from all over the world printed on Finnish paper. Among the newspapers were the Hebrew paper Haaretz and the Arabic paper Al Difaa.
