A sharp resolution against the Hitlerite persecution of Jews in Germany was adopted here at the first session of the newly-established Central Council of Jewish Communities.

A decision to align with the entire Jewish people in the fight against the anti-Jewish regime in Germany was adopted at a huge protest demonstration in Helsingfors.

The Jews of Finland have spontaneously severed all commercial connections with Germany until such time that anti-Semitic persecutions cease.

The Central Council of Jewish Communities was organized through the initiative of the Finland Chief Rabbi, Dr. Simeon Federbusch. The necessity of having a body to represent Finnish Jewry was strongly emphasized at a conference of Jewish Communities. The praesidium of the Central Council consists of the following: Chief Rabbi Dr. S. Federbusch, M. Rubinstein of Helsingfors, H. Chazon of Obo and Dr. Isaac Pergament, chairman.

Most newspapers in the country vigorously condemn the Nazi persecutions of Jews in Germany, with the exception of those connected with the anti-Semitic Lapo movement.
