Nearly one hundred Jewish families remain roofless as a result of a fire which broke out in the Jewish quarter of Rowno, District of Volyn, reports received here yesterday stated.
The majority of the sufferers are Jewish merchants whose property was destroyed in the fire. The damages are estimated to run into the tens of thousands of dollars. The cause of the fire is not known.
A meeting of the Rowno Kehillah was called for Friday to consider an appeal to the relatives in America of Rowno Jews.
