Four gasoline bombs were thrown at Israeli security personnel in the West Bank on Wednesday, causing neither casualties nor damage.

The first target was an Israel Defense Force patrol in Hebron. The other three were border police patrols in Jenin, in the northern part of the territory, which has become an intifada stronghold.

Jenin was the scene of several shootings recently. A policeman fired in the direction of the attackers, but there was no report of anyone being hit.

Gunfire was heard by soldiers Wednesday, but no casualties were reported.

In Hebron, a firebomb thrown at an IDF patrol Wednesday morning smashed harmlessly on the curb. The town has been tense since last week, when an old bus terminal occupied some years ago by the IDF was made a temporary dormitory for yeshiva students.
