The Palestine Economic Corporation today announced the acquisition of a 31 percent interest in Israel’s largest paint factory, Tambour Paints, Ltd. The balance of Tambour’s stock is held by Anglo-Israel Securities, Ltd. , of London, and by a group of Israel investors.
Tambour Paints, located in the town of Acre, supplies approximately 40 percent of Israel’s total requirements of paints, varnishes, enamels and industrial finishes. Sales last year exceeded $2,000,000, including about $250,000 in exports. The plant’s modern facilities include four laboratories, manned by a highly trained technical staff.
