The Albar Rolling Mills, the first major aluminum factory in Israel, was opened today at Kfar Saba, a settlement in central Israel.
The plant, which has a capacity double that of Israel’s own aluminum needs, is a joint venture of Israel and foreign capital. Equipment was provided by the Coquillard Aluminum Company of France which also supplied technical assistance in the construction of the plant.
