The first nation-wide convention of the Rumanian Jewish National Fund since 1940 opened here today with delegates from 137 local branches attending.
In his opening address, Dr. Isaac Rohrlich, president of the Zionist organization of Rumania, stressed the need of strengthening the J.N.F. and attacked British Foreign Secretary Ernest Bevin’s “ill-will” toward the Jews.
