The first display center in the United States for products manufactured in Israel was opened this weekend by the office of the Israel Trade Commissioner. The center is located at the Government of Israel economic offices here.
At the opening ceremony Terra Sancta medals were presented by Mrs. Pinhas Sapir, the wife of Israel’s Minister of Finance, Commerce and Industry, to American businessmen who have helped to promote exports from Israel to the United States.
Among those goods on display are sportswear, knitwear and jewelry of both modern and traditional design. The Center’s aim is to enable Israel’s manufacturers to reach broader markets in this country.
