Jewish circles here are aroused over a report that the first 80 DP tailors, who are now on route here from Germany, are all non-Jews. The Jews are indignant because the project was originally sponsored completedly by Jewish organizations, although the Immigration Department later stipulated that needle trades workers among the DP’s should be admitted on the basis of 50 per-cent Jews and 50 percent non-Jews.
