The Avigdor School of North London has become the first Jewish grammar school ever to accept state aid, it was announced here today.
Under a Ministry of Education order, the London County Council will henceforth pay the salaries of the teachers, provide equipment and meet other expenses of the institution. The Council will also control the appointment of teachers.
