The port area was ablaze with banners today to welcome the arrival of the Kedmah, the first Jewish-owned vessel to initiate regular ##ssenger and freight service between Europe and Palestine.Airplanes owned by Aviron, Jewish flying company, circled overhead as the vessel docked. It was greeted at the pier by Mayor Israel Rokach and Joseph Sprinzak of the Histadruth.
