An Executive Committee for the first Jewish region in Soviet Russia was elected at the conference of representatives of Jewish settlements and towns in the district of Cherson which just closed yesterday in the Jewish colony, Sadeh Menucha.
Seventeen were elected to the Executive, eight of whom are Communists and nine non-partisan. Abraham Strashun, a Communist, was elected president of the Executive.
