Mrs. Rachel Ben-Zvi, the wife of Israel’s President, today addressed a memorial meeting for the late Eleanor Roosevelt, who died in New York two weeks ago. Mrs. Ben-Zvi paid tribute to Mrs. Roosevelt’s humanitarianism and deep interest in Israel.
Moshe Kol, Member of the Knesset, and director of Youth Aliyah, sponsors of the meeting, recalled Mrs. Roosevelt’s constant activities on behalf of the organization of which she was honorary world president. Mr. Kol announced that Youth Aliyah would initiate various projects to perpetuate Mrs. Roosevelt’s memory in Israel.
