The first Mizrachi vocational high school for women was dedicated here yesterday to the memory of the late David and Esther Shapiro of Brooklyn. Most of the funds for the two-story building, which will have a capacity of 300 to 400 girls, were provided by their son, Joseph Shapiro of New York.
Present at the ceremony were Chief Rabbi Isaac Herzog, Minister of Education Ben Zion Dinur, Minister of Religion Moshe Shapira, other government officials and Mizrachi leaders. Beside offering academic subjects, the school will also teach domestic science, fashion designing and office work.
