The first international conference of Agudas Israel youth opened here this week-end with delegates from all countries in Europe, Canada, the United States and Palestine attending.
Opening the public meeting, Herman Treisser, vice-president of the Agudas Israel Youth Council of America, declared that the delegates had assembled to “coordinate and strengthen the efforts of the organized Orthodox youth movement for the spiritual and material welfare of Jewish youth.” Other speakers included Godel Heilpern, head of the British delegation, Rabbi Abram Blau of Palestine, Rabbi Joseph Horovitz, chairman of the London executive of the Agudas Israel World Organization, and Lieb Einhorn of Belsen, Germany.
