The first award of the Herzl Prize of the Zionist Organization of America was presented yesterday to President Yitzhak Ben Zvi in a ceremony in his office by Dr. Emanuel Neumann, former ZOA president, and Abraham Redelheim, current ZOA president.
Dr. Neumann lauded the President for his work both in Zionism and for the Jewish people and Jewish culture. Mr. Redelheim said the award would be made annually for outstanding work in Zionism. President Ben Zvi paid tribute to the work of the ZOA on the American scene.
