Four Jewish names have been included in the list of candidates for the Dimitrov Prizes, the annual awards given for achievement in science, literature and the arts by the Bulgarian Government, it was reported here today from Sofia.
The Jews named as candidates were: Professor Azaria Polikarov, in sociology; Dina Schniderman, a celebrated violinist; Numa Bulgarski Weissberg, a film producer; and Heskia David Nissimov, a civil engineer.
