Five Labor MPs protested to the Race Relations Board today that the Mobil Shipping Co. was discriminating against Israeli and Jewish products. The five cited a letter which the tanker operator, a British subsidiary of the Mobil Oil Co., sent to British ship chandlers asking them not to stock products of Israeli or Jewish origin aboard Mobil tankers calling at Arab ports. The protest was signed by Clinton Davis, Peter Archer, Dick Leonard, Ronald Murray and Maurice Orbach. They claimed that the letter was a violation of the race relations act.
