The Austrian press gave credit to the Vienna branch of the House of Rothschild for saving from bankruptcy one of the leading Austrian credit institutions which was formerly the Imperial Court Bank. The act was praised as one of high patriotism coupled with business caution. Baron Louis Rothschild acted upon the specific invitation of Prime Minister Schober.
