Representatives of the World Federation for Polish Jews and the Rural and Suburban Settlement Company of Tel Aviv, today signed a contract calling for the construction of a large non-profit housing project in Palestine for homeless Polish Jewish refugees now in Germany, Austria and Italy who will go to Palestine when the new Jewish state is established.
Work on the project will begin in March, with a group of 400 houses scheduled for completion before the end of this year. Funds will be raised by a world-wide campaign of the Federation for Polish Jews. The land was contributed by the Jewish National Fund.
