Prof. Albert Einstein will be guest of honor at a $50-a-plate dinner for the benefit of the United Jewish Appeal at the Hotel Commodore tonight. The dinner was arranged by the Appeal’s food and allied trades division and the Council of Jewish Organizations.
About 1,000 persons are expected to attend the banquet. Besides Prof. Einstein, speakers will be: William Rosenwald, Morris Rothenberg, I. Edwin Goldwasser and Judge Albert Cohn.
On Friday, Mrs. Herbert H. Lehman and Mrs. Felix M. Warburg will be principal speakers at a luncheon in honor of James G. McDonald, League of Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, at the Hotel Waldorf-Astoria under the auspices of the Bronx and Brooklyn divisions of the Greater New York United Jewish Appeal. Other speakers will be Mrs. Bernard S. Deutsch, Mrs. David E. Goldfarb and Mrs. Ralph Jonas. Mrs. Richard P. Limburg will preside.
