For the first time a resident of Israel has been warded a decoration by the Government of west Germany. The resident, Miss Friada Kroltzik, 74, is a Christian woman who worked for a Jewish family for 30 years before the Nazis came to power and who helped take care of an aged member of that family even after the Nazis had ordered Miss Kroltzik to quit her job, Members of the family who fled to Palestine have since taken Miss Kroltzik to live with them.
