Foreign Jews who own businesses here may remain heads of their firms, an order promulgated today by the Reich Minister of Labor says.

Jews may head their businesses, the order explains, since the government trustees in these enterprises must be “Aryans.” The ruling was issued in connection with the recent labor law which provides that large enterprises must be conducted by three persons, including a labor representative, a government trustee and the owner. The owner is to be considered the leader.

The new explanation is the result of many misunderstandings, the right of the Jewish proprietor to remain in his own firm having been questioned because the labor law specifies that the firm leader must be an “Aryan.”
