The temporary buildings which will house various Israeli Government offices–including the Foreign Ministry which will be transferred here from Tel Aviv–will be ready by the end of the year. Shlomo Araza, government engineer, today told a group of newsmen whom he conducted on a tour of the new government center in this city.
The reporters inspected ten concrete buildings which will serve as the Foreign Ministry offices. Mr. Araza told them that work will be started within a few days on the main building of the Foreign Ministry group. This building, which will house the Minister and his closest assistants, will also be ready by the end of the year when the Ministry is scheduled to move.
(In London today the press featured prominently the United States warning to Israel against the transfer of the Israel Foreign Office to Jerusalem. It also reported that several countries, including Britain, have emulated the United States in informing Israel that they will not move their legations in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.)
