The Israeli Foreign Ministry made it clear today that Israel will hold the Arab states sheltering terrorist organizations responsible for the bombings of Israeli offices in Europe yesterday. A statement by the ministry spokesman noted that “the terrorists, the headquarters of whose organizations are in the Arab countries, enjoy the openly-declared support of the Arab governments.”
The statement quoted the one made yesterday by Transport Minister Moshe Carmel who described the attacks as an attempt to sever Israel’s communications with the rest of the world and warned the terrorists “of full retribution.” The Foreign Ministry spokesman said that the bombings would “further open the eyes of the world with regard to the nature and methods of Arab warfare.” He promised that the attacks would not succeed in shaking Israel’s stamina.
