That the German Jews of the third generation will regain their rights within ninety days is the belief of Charles Courtney, master locksmith who salvages millions of dollars’ worth of gold from sunken ships’ treasure chests.
Just back from Europe and a special trip to Germany to investigate Nazi conditions, Courtney, who returned yesterday on the Leviathan, declared “that if the Jews lift the boycott they can get somewhere. German leaders told me that, and they said if it was not lifted there will be an indelible hatred. What boycott there is now is extremely harmful to the Jews.”
