A number of definite proposals with regard to setting up formal relations between Palestine and the International Labor Office were discussed by Dr. Arlosor-off, of the Palestine Labor Party “Hapoel Hazair” and one of the members of the delegation of the Vaad Leumi, National Council of Palestine Jews, to the meeting of the Mandates Commission, with M. Albert Thomas, the Director of the International Labor Office of the League of Nations and Mr. Grimshaw, the representative of the International Labor Office at the Mandates Commission.
Both M. Thomas and Mr. Grimshaw emphasized the importance of a closer contact being established between the International Labor Office and the workers of Palestine by means of circulating in Palestine the information issued by the Labor Office on labor conditions in the various countries and by systematic consideration of the labor questions in Palestine by the International Labor Office.
The League of Zionists-Revisionists have established headquarters with offices and club rooms at 42 Union Square, New York City. The office of “The Zionist,” the official organ of the League, is also located at that address.
A housewarming to inaugurate the opening of the new headquarters will be held Wednesday evening, July 28, at the club rooms of the League. Professor Johan J. Smertenko, editor of “The Zionist,” and Mordecai Danzis, of the “Tageblatt,” will address the gathering.
