Formation of a Jewish army in Palestine was urged on the floor of the House of Representatives today by Rep. Richard P. Gale (R., Minn.).
“If there are 100,000 men willing and anxious to fight on our side, not across the ocean, not a month or two months from the front, but almost within shooting distance of the Suez Canal, why not do something about it?” he asked. “It is very important, very urgent and very nearly too late – and it will be too late by next year.”
