Anwar Nuseibeh, former Jordanian Minister of Defense, was officially listed as a member of the Israeli bar although he did not apply for admission and, in fact, is one of the West Bank lawyers observing the “strike” against the Israeli courts decreed by Amman. Mr. Nuseibeh was one of 20 Arab lawyers residing in the Old City whose names appeared in the official gazette. The listing was done by the Ministry of Justice on the basis of a roll of lawyers found in the former Jordanian Government offices in East Jerusalem.
