Polish authorities have arrested a former Ukrainian policeman who is alleged to have taken part in the mass murders of Poles and Jews during the Nazi occupation of Poland in World War II. The Warsaw newspaper Express Wieczorny reported yesterday that Piotr Malicki, 57, was recognized by villagers in Prchacz where he commanded a police station in 1941-42. The state prosecutor is investigating the charges against him.
