Former Secretary of State Lawrence Eagleburger has been asked to head an international commission charged with resolving all unpaid insurance claims of Holocaust victims. The newly formed commission will audit and investigate the records of European insurance companies and set up a mechanism for paying out claims in a process that is to be completed within two years.
