Former SS Fuehrer Georg Michalsen, 67, and Otto Hantke, 65, went on trial Monday In Hamburg for the murder of thousands of Jews during the liquidation of the Warsaw Ghetto in 1942-43. They are also accused of sending 300,000 Jews to their deaths in Treblinka. Michalsen belonged to the staff of SS Gruppenfueherer Globocznik, the “Hangman of Lublin.”
