Two funds have been placed at the disposal of the Baltimore Museum of Art by the family and friends of Julius Levy in his memory, officials of the museum announced Wednesday, June 6.
The first, totaling about $30,000, was given by Mr. Levy’s brothers, William and Alfared Levy, and is to be used as a trust fund for the establishment of a gallery of Oreintal Art at the museum.
The second fund was made up by other members of Mr. Levy’s family. It is to be known as the Julius Levy Library Fund and will be the nucleus for the financial backing of the libray in the new building of the museum.
