The 58th annual convention of the Zionist Organization of America opens here tomorrow to discuss various problems concerning American-Israel relations and issues confronting the forthcoming World Zionist Congress which will convene in Jerusalem next year. More than 1,000 delegates from all parts of the country are expected to attend the four-day gathering.
The convention will also discuss world problems facing the Zionist movement and the relationship between Israel and the Jewish communities in countries outside of Israel. It will be addressed by Senator Hubert H. Humphrey of Minnesota, Joseph Serlin, Israel Minister of Health, and Israel Ambassador Abba Eban. Keynote addresses will be delivered by Mortimer May, ZOA president; Dr. Emanuel Neumann, chairman of the ZOA executive and member of the Jewish Agency executive, and Dr. Abba Hillel Silver.
