A four-day B’nai B’rith Institute of Judaism concluded in Luxemburg after Jewish scholars from various European countries discussed Jewish contributions to European thought, music, medicine and legislation. The meeting, sponsored by the B’nai B’rith European Committee, also discussed ways and means of helping the international fraternal organization meet its goal of selling $7,500,000 worth of Israel Development Bonds.
B’nai B’rith Institutes of Judaism are a method of adult Jewish education which brings study groups of Jewish laymen together to meet with distinguished scholars in the field of Jewish culture and religion. Approximately 30 such institutes will be held this year in the United States, Canada, Israel, the Argentine and Luxemburg.
