A Purim celebration lasting throughout the week will begin tonight at the Spanish and Portuguese Synagogue, 2 West 70th street. This evening, following the reading of the Megillah at six o’clock, a Purim carnival will be staged. Tomorrow night will be devoted to the Sisterhood of the Temple, and Saturday will be League Ningt. Sunday afternoon will be Youth Day and the final festivity of the carmival will take place on Sunday evening. Rev.Dr. and Mrs. H. Perira Mendes will come to New York from Lake wood in order to attend the celebration.
