Four democratic Senators joined today in a statement saying that they would-seek complete restoration of all cuts in the eight and one-half billion dollar Mutual Aid Bill. This would include the allocations for Israel and the Near East which were reduced last week by the Senate Foreign Relations and Armed Service Committees as a part of a 30 percent across-the -Loard reduction.
An amendment authorizing the full amount requested will be sponsored by the Senators. They include Senators Theodore F. Green, of Rhode Island, John Sparkman, of Alabama, Brien McMahon, of Connecticut, and J. William Fulbright, of Arkansas. They pointed out that advocates of the appropriation of the full amount included President Truman, Secretary Acheson, Secretary Marshall, and General Bradley.
