Four Shot Leaving Chicago Synagogue After Services

Three men and a woman, emerging from Congregation Anshe Kanessef Israel, 3411 Douglas Boulevard, after attending Rosh Hashanah services, found themselves caught between a squad of police pursuing thieves attempting to escape in a speeding car, and were wounded in the ensuing gunfire.

Max Satyr, 33, of 1510 South Clinton Park Avenue was shot in both legs. Louis Wildbaum, 32, of 1520 South Ridgeway Avenue, was wounded in the left thigh. Joseph Kosloff, 20, of 3148 West 15th Street, was shot in the right thigh, and Mrs. Rose Katzman, 25, of 1406 South Turner Avenue, received a bullet wound in the left calf. They were removed to a hospital for treatment.
