When Mayor Harry L. Davis announced that the city would be unable to continue the park band concerts which had been customary during the summer months, Charles Fox, a resident of Cleveland, and secretary of the I. J. Fox Fur Company, offered the city the necessary amount of money to continue the concerts.
Mr. Fox will cooperate with the city recreation department, according to Mr. A. S. Kubu, recreation commissioner, in selecting the locations and dates for the free concerts. Thirty of the city’s leading musicians are being engaged by Mr. Fox to play as the Cleveland Symphonic Band, under the direction of Walter Logan, popular organist and band leader.
There will be at least six or seven concerts, given in the various parks throughout the city.
