Undersecretary LaGrande announced last night at the first conference of German emigres that the French Government was recanting completely on its refugee policy.
The conference discussed the draft of an international statute for political refugees, including German Jewish exiles which deportation of refugees would be prohibited expert where another country agreed to accept them.
Issuance of passports and permits to work to refugees was also discussed.
