France should distinguish legitimate criticism of Israeli policies from efforts to delegitimize Israel itself, Alan Dershowitz said. Meeting Wednesday with French Socialist politicians who recently visited Israel, the lawyer and author suggested that France could play a more important role in the region either by sending peacekeeping forces or by helping to build a “chunnel” between the West Bank and Gaza Strip, similar to the one built between England and France in 1994.
