Arrangements are being completed here for the funeral of Frederick Leon Mandel, 60, chairman of the board and treasurer of Mandel Brothers department store, who died suddenly in Paris last Saturday. The body is due here shortly for burial. He was the oldest son of Leon Mandel, pioneer Chicago merchant and one of the founders of the concern in 1855. He had been connected with the firm since 1888.
