Myer Feldman, deputy special counsel to President Kennedy, today accepted on behalf of President Kennedy an award presented to the President by the Free Sons of Israel, national Jewish fraternal order.
The award, a bronze medallion, known as the “Distinguished Service Award” of the Jewish group, was presented at a White House ceremony by Leon Cohen, grand master; Leonard Weisberg, first deputy grand master, and Joseph G. Seide, grand secretary, in recognition of Mr. Kennedy’s civil rights leadership.
