Pierre Massin, reputedly leading French anti-Semite and Fascist, will arrive in New York tomorrow aboard the liner Excalibur equipped with an immigration visa to the United States, the newspaper PM disclosed today in an article by Tabitha Petran.
Charging that this strikingly emphasizes the alleged discrimination practiced by the State Department in the issuance of United States visas, the writer said that Massin encountered few if any difficulties in obtaining the visa.
“In letters, Pierre Massin has boasted of his anti-Semitic and pro-Fascist activities. He said he would devote the rest of his life to destroying the Jews,” the writer said, adding:
“At the very moment the U.S.A. has opened its doors to Pierre Massin, it has slammed them in the face of the hundreds of thousands of militant democrats, rotting in the concentration camps of France, starving in the cities of France and Portugal while they wait upon the red tape, bureaucracy and prejudices of U.S. officials.”
