The suspension throughout Normandy of all anti-Jewish laws and regulations issued by the Vichy regime was announced today by Radio France at Algiers.
The announcement said that Francois Coulet, Commissioner of the French Committee of National Liberation, who represents Gen. De Gaulle in Normandy, has issued an order stating: “All constitutional acts, all orders containing discrimination against Jews, all orders concerning secret societies, all decrees which, inaugurated special jurisdiction, or established competence or procedure of such jurisdiction are suspended.”
