French Jewish Consular Agent Barred from Syria

A French consular agent, Robert Meyuchas, who is Jewish, was barred from entering Syria when he arrived at the border together with the rest of the French consular staff in Palestine, it was learned today. French consular officials in Palestine had been ordered ousted in reprisal for expulsion of British consuls in Syria.

David Raziel, 30 years old, died while performing military duty somewhere in the Middle East, it was announced today. He left a widow and two children.
