A resolution calling for the dissolution of West Germany’s extremist National Democratic Party was adopted with applause yesterday by more than 1,000 persons attending a meeting of French Jewish war veterans. The meeting was called to focus attention on the danger of a resurgence of Nazism in Germany.
Mrs. Madeleine Fourcade, president of the Committee of Action of the French Resistance, told the meeting that the “neo-Nazi” NDP already had more support than did Hitler’s Nazi Party in 1928. The NDP scored a second win this month in West German state Parliamentary elections with a victory last Sunday in Bavaria. Earlier in the month it won seats in the Hesse Parliament. All speakers at the meeting said danger hovered over Europe in the wake of the NDP electoral victories.
