French Minister Pledges Action on Using Heirless Property to Aid Nazi Victims

Rene Mayer, French Minister of Justice, today promised to take action to assure that Jewish heirless property in France be used for the benefit of Jewish victims of Nazi persecution. The pledge was made to a delegation from CRIF, the central representative body of French Jewry.

Meanwhile, French Finance Minister Maurice Petsche today received an Israel delegation headed by David Horowitz, director-general of the Israel Finance Ministry, and including Maurice Fischer, Minister to Paris, and Josef Gerzon, commercial attache of the legation here.
