The Ministry of Transport announced here today that the agreement between Israel and the Renault Motor Company, of France, calling for resumption of Renault’s car exports to this country, have been officially finalized. Renault had bowed out of the Israel market seven years ago, in response to demands by the Arab League boycott office, but announced in the last year that it is ready to trade with Israel again.
Renault exports to Israel will start again in June, the Ministry stated. The French firm had agreed, under the new pact, to buy from Israeli producers auto parts costing at least 10 percent of the value of its exports to Israel.
