French police are investigating Maurice Papon for illegally wearing his Legion of Honor decoration. The honor was annulled by presidential order after Papon was convicted for complicity in crimes against humanity for his role in the deportation of some 1,500 Jews from southwest France to Nazi death camps in 1942.
